WhatsApp has now begun testing the payment feature for Indian users. This feature is currently in beta stage and is currently not available to the public. The company has been working closely with Indian banks like SBI, ICICI, HDFC Bank and Axis Bank for UPI.

A screenshot of the UPI payment on WhatsApp has been shared by users on social media websites. Under this feature, in the settings of WhatsApp, you will get a payment option under an account, chats and notifications, where you can tap and send money. This feature will be known as WhatsApp Payments.
